Introduction Foundation (1h)

A short but comprehensive introduction to the process of proving competency and the systems required under the regulations that outline the Principal Designer duties.  This foundation course will explain what you need to consider as a Principal Designer and how best to advise your Client to ensure a compliant project from the very start.  This course will likely raise lot's of questions as there will be aspects that you have not yet considered but a great place to get the fundamental understanding that the role can have a visualised process to follow to ensure accountability and competency. 

Compliance Accelerator Course (3h)

It's more about Attitude and Aptitude than you may think. 

This course is not your standard compliance related CPD event.  This course dives into the attitude required to deliver high quality projects with a meaningful process relating to compliance with the role of Principal Designer (Building Regulations).   The intention of the course is to provide an refreshing view of how the regulations can be approached to create structured processes that allows for accountability and to reduce the risk of non-compliance.  This is an enthusiastic inspiring presentation which puts the fun and excitement into the Building Safety Act requirements (yes, you read that correctly).   The course will be interactive with opportunities to discuss, debate and ask questions. 

The outcome of the course is to inspire positive working habits that provide clear intentions.  This will assist anyone in the Principal Designer role and also enhance any applications when applying for a PD(BR) register.   The quality and compliance of the project you are overseeing is your responsibility however we want to inspire an approach that will give you confidence to ensure the right steps are being taken to highlight your competency throughout the design process.  The intention should be to create a clear path to compliance that is transparent, easy to follow and able to be presented to Clients to explain and justify roles and responsibilities.

To assist with your journey to ensure compliant systems are up and running, we offer a consultancy service to advise and mentor a real time project to implement the systems and documentations effectively for peace of mind.  As a compliance mentor, we can walk you through a real time project ensuring that paths are followed and gateways are completed.  We can assist with the documentation setup and how best to deal with Clients, the Design Team and Contractors.  This one-to-one mentoring system is perfect for establishing a key base for proving competency and creating a portfolio to apply for a PD(BR) register.
